Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- Make the Cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry, mixing until just combined.
- Bake: Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
- Prepare the Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until well combined. Fold in the whipped cream gently.
- Layer the Jars: Once the cake is cool, crumble it into small pieces. In jars, layer the crumbled cake and cheesecake filling alternately. Repeat until the jars are filled.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the jars for at least an hour to set. Before serving, top with extra whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
